Wrapping Cloth Objects with Rope in Cinema 4D

Cinema 4D Project Files: Wrapping Cloth Objects with Rope in Cinema 4D + Other Cloth Experiments

Following on from last weeks tutorial, here’s a few examples of wrapping cloth objects with rope or straps in C4D.

It’s pretty much the same setup as last week but we need to sim the cloth (in our case foam blocks) along with the rope, so they can interact with eachother. Then it’s just a matter of playing with the cloth settings to get the look you’re after.

I also had a few requests about creating some of the shots from this animation by MediaWork Studio, so I did a few foam examples and some bonus scenes you can download below, along with the wrapping project files.

Fully animated and includes all models, textures, materials, lighting, and Redshift Renderer settings using and ACES workflow for better color. See our ACES guide here.
