Cinema 4D and Redshift Foam Shader – A simple Redshift shader that makes a sss foam and bubbles.
This was requested by Azhar (one of our awesome Members) who wanted to create a foamy lotion simulation – I didn’t have much luck with the simulation unfortunately – Cinema 4D isn’t great with fluid sims natively (yet). So I thought Id share a shader anyway – it’s not perfect but not a bad starting point.

@Dave hey man, I hope this is the right Dave haha. I am having difficulty applying these shaders to other geometry and having it map correctly. Also, any thoughts that it would work on a real flow simulation? Thanks!
It’s all going to be about scale for this – I made the sene pretty big I think because it was easier to get it looking right, you just need your scene to match the scale of mmine, otherwise you need to go through the shader and resize all the noise nodes (and thee are lots of them).
Not sure how it would go with realflow, I dont use it

Cheers Sathya, if this gets enough votes I might make a tutorial, however you can easily deconstruct the shader from the project file – the main thing is using several layers of noise for the displacement. I also mapped some of the noise to opacity if I remember correctly. Then some SSS to let a little light into the material.
